This weekend I was called in to work as a PA for the feature movie The Frankenstein Brothers. I'm making $50 per day, minimum of 12 hour days. But it's good experience, and I'm making contacts, so it's worth it. Plus I'm getting IMDB credit. The movie has Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls, Saw IV and V), Alexandra Paul (Baywatch, too much other stuff to list) and Zelda Williams (Robin Williams' daughter).
In addition to that, I was just hired as 1st Camera for a feature called Walk-ins Welcome (http://www.walkinswelcomethemovie.com/), which starts shooting in October. I find it funny that it's easier to get a job in production than it is to get one as a cashier, but it's what I'm trained and qualified for so I suppose it makes sense. My goal is to be able to do enough freelance work to keep the bills paid. But now that my computer is working and I can start working on Treasures for Heaven again, I should be set for at least 2 months. Things are working out!
